You might try this resource.

It gives you the history of each of the aircraft, modifications made, what, and when.  Diamond Back is in the list of P-51Ds.

It also has LOTS of great pics of the Pony in many versions.

No one noticed the P-40 is a double seater?

Or looks like one at least.

The added tail fin was done on a number of TF-51Ds as the larger canopy was affecting airflow around the tail or something to that effect.  It helped with directional stability etc.

Not a stock 51 by any means.  Rebuilt Cavalier 51s generally had the added tail fin.

The P40s have second seats.  They're not TP-40s though.  Kermit Weeks has the only flying TP-40 with actual dual controls, down in Florida

BTW the P38 is a J model, but it's painted in the markings of Perry Dahl's 432nd FS, 475th FG P38H, 23 Skidoo.

We have that skin by Fester for our P38G in AH.

The P40s are part of the Paul families collection of 40s.  They are rebuilding a P51B in the markings of Duane Beeson's "Boise Bee" that should fly in the not too distant future

Yes the green one was a double, they said it was used as a trainer.  They took out the radio gear in the other one and installed a lil seat in it as well so they could give people rides.
From the ashes of the old we rise to fly again. Behold The Phoenix Wing!

that would be a cavalier mustang probably.  it was a conversion done in the mid 1960's by the cavalier corporation in an attempt to sell ponies to the airforce for use in vietnam in the sandy role IIRC.

the top photo is the experimental turboprop version I don't recall which engine they utilized I believe it was the lycoming but I might be mistaken.

That's the Piper Enforcer, a much modified mustang with a turboprop engine.

Good site for info on the Cavalier Mustangs
