Website, and Hosting?
« on: May 16, 2007, 12:39:36 PM »
I'm looking for a place that I can create and host a webpage..  I need something that's for us illiterate computer users, and not too expensive..  Perhaps a forum to accompany it as well?   Basically my webpage will be to inform people of events, gallery, and some other basic shared knowledge..

Can someone help me out?

I concur with Sandman.

Been using them for 5+ years and host 6 websites with them.

Very fast customer service, robust features and very competetive prices.

I checked out Sandman's but it seems to only be a hosting company? I don't see tools to design a web page?

Maybe I'm missing something..

If you're looking for something to post events, a message board, and a gallery... you're looking for something that uses PHP or ASP... a content management system (CMS).

Surpass offers a handful of different CMS software.

You're going to need someone that is somewhat literate to set it up, but once you're set, it's very simple to use.

I used to write webpages, but it's too much work. Nowadays, you use HTML to build the templates and PHP or ASP to update the content. It's a lot less work.

ipowerweb.com has been great for my company and very inexpensive. They will also register your name for you and have many tools available.
