Just use something gentle, like a P38 or a spitfire. You need to crawl before you walk. Don't take full fuel, don't load it up with bombs, rockets, drop tanks, or anything. When you're learning this game you gotta take it easy. It's a lot easier if you get your speed up a bit before doing any major manuvers. 200mph is nice, 250 is better.

go into offline and shoot hangers, then shoot the drones  :)

For most of the fighters in AH rotation can be planed for about 90 MPH, most fighters in AH fly themselves off the runway,  P38 needs a little help.  Gear up and level out and wait for climb speed to be attained, that's your 150 to 250 range,  If you leave your gear out at that speed, it get damaged.

P-38 variants and some of the other 2 engined fighter/attack plane types are easy, they do not vere off the runway because of the counter rotating props  cancelling out the torque effect.......most all other planes need small control input unless taking off in auto-take off mode....... because of torque / prop wash / yawing of some small degree.......

Yes most planes should come on plane around 90 to 110 mph....( on plane meaning tail section is up level with ground right at being airborne )
I suggest rasing gear in all planes before or at 150 / 155 mph if taking off manually. You do not have to worry about it if you using auto-take off mode. most all of the plane set has a recommended climb speed of around 150 to 200, if you are using auto take off, you have no worries getting there,  if taking off manually you can start climbing at 150 if you like ( excluding jet types ) But is much better to speed up to at least 200 level flight before starting to do your climb out.........

Also, you will go further faster in learning if you go ahead and turn off stall-limiter....... or it may take you twice as long before you have readjusted to fly without it if you use it.......

There are good learning/training habits and there are bad learning/training habits...........always get more than 1 or 2 views when asking a question about the games mechanics and dog fighting.........One of the hardest things to do when helping someone is break them of a bad habit that someone else taught them,  that they used for any  significant length of time........

hope this helps
