Hi chaps,

Better idea - I say, without checking the boards - I say, let someone take supplies in a Jeep or M3 and refuel a "dry" plane with, say, 30 gallons.

Then the pilot would be able to rtb, land and get his kills landed. His points would go to the refueler, that would get extra-bonus too.

I know Eagler, I should have taken a look at the boards...And I'll take more fuel with me...

But I never thought of it a bad idea, although it probably was highly uncomon in RL (except for maybe special ops missions)

Better idea:

Watch your fuel gauge and learn to use cruise settings to conserve gas.

You'll have to land near a spawn point or friendly base.... who'd going to sit for an hour, or drive a hour or more, to conduct this little "mission"?

You'll have to convince someone to make the effort to come out to you to refuel your plane.... many GVr's can attest to how that can go when they are low on ammo or need repairs. Or you can just use your Shade Account to run the mission.

I see potential grief. "Yeah...I'm here...honest injun....I really need that gas....keep looking for me.....I think I hear you now......." lollollollollol

Not something that would have been common IRL. "Blue Moon" kind of thing.

Overall, I 'd go against taking the time to incorporate the code for this. Fuel management should be the pilot's responsibility. If you run out, you ditch, and you STILL get 75% of your perk points you gained for that sortie. If you want ALL of the perk points and the bonus modifier next time, put it down on the bloody runway. I'm not really a big fan for adding Mulligans to computer games for people to try and save every point they can possibly get.... you've got to earn them somehow.

30 gallons is nothing, limit it to 100 and a 2 minute refuel time.

i say id rather this not happen as was said earlier learn to read ur fuel guages use ur e6b learn ur max cruise etc... or wait (revalation) take a drop tank wow!!!
