where can i obtain a set of magic flaps that allow american planes
to turn on a dime and maintain control at very low speeds.

Use the Q and W keys for magic flaps.

I prefer to assign those magic keys to a button on my throttle. That way I don't have to reach over and perhaps hit the wrong key. That could be bad.

If you're having problems using them I'd suggest you get with a trainer to help you.

Yep.  I've got Alt-F4 mapped to my fire button.

These magic flaps may be found in EverQuest...but you must be a Tinker to find them.
