Terrain editor is flickering badly
« on: May 12, 2007, 12:08:52 AM »
The new terrain editor is having a problem with the lighting fluctuating wildly, as if I were yanking the time slider back and forth.  If I were epileptic, it would probably throw me into a seizure.

Do you have a a second or dual-core processor? Try setting its affinity to only one CPU/core.

I had the same problem in the last version, tho it seems to have corrected itself now in this release (tho I was also running the old one on XP, not Vista).
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

Another solution I found was to use the AMD patch linked to at the Hardware forum.
