Tonight was an enjoyable night.  Thank you 1HungLoe and MGD for being the side COs.

Off to a slightly rough start, we didn't have quite the turnout the event was designed for, so we opted for some last minute changes.  5 Minutes before the start of the frame, the numbers suggested that the Axis would not have the bombing capability to destroy the fleet, while the Allies had the plane matchup to dominate in the Air to Air battle.  So, slight adjustments were made, and the Axis were given the A6M5 and allowed to have bombs.  This kept them in the air to air fight and gave them an opportunity to target the fleet as designed.

Frame 2 introduced 2 new planes for the fight, to further encourage players to remain through the event and giving them incentive to continue the fight.  The P38-G was provided for the Allies and the Japanese were given the NiK.

In an odd move, while the Allies geared up for a massive attack by these new NiKs, the Axis opted to field Minimal Niks and slink in a mass of Vals!!  What a brazen move by the Axis!

Did it pay off?  Here are the logs.  I will score by tomorrow.

Frame 1

Frame 2

Plane Kills are worth 15 Points Each.

Ship Kills are worth 25 Point Each, which could have been the deciding factor for the Axis.

In a rare situation, it appears that the 2 COs met in battle.  MGD claiming the kill on 1HungLoe as he tragically crashed.

Early Observations show a couple of ship kills for the Japanese and a devastating air to air assault by the Allies.

Final determination will be tomorrow after a complete review of the logs for violations, but the Allies do look to claim the Victory for the nights effort.

Well Played by all.  It is a real pleasure hosting events for players who can hit the ground running with last minute changes, be cordial while the CM and both COs discuss the last minute changes, and be gracious while competitive.

This makes my tenure as CM worthwhile, nights like this.

Was an awesome night indeed ROC =S= & MGD

I seen i got a load of batterys on the first frame, heck makin it to the CV alone was 1/2 the battle. As far as gettin shot down goes, when you Volunteer for Japanese Axis CO Position your considered a dead man from the start so anything above that is a BONUS.

I think this is a warm up for Friday Night myself.

ROC you did see i got 9 battery's and claimed the Heavy Cruiser in the second Frame?

@ an average of 6 sailors per gun position multiplyed by 9 thats 54 sailors at which i feel should be scored at least 2 points per head for a total of 108 Scalp Points we'll Call them :D

:aok

I saw that, great hit!  Glad you got a ship kill.

Sorry on the scalps though lol  as much as I'd like to credit those scalps to you, I think when they saw you coming they just jumped overboard.  Gonna give those kills to the sharks :D

That was one of the most fun snapshots I've ever flown in!

Axis

That took a lot of guts, but from our perspective I think the D3 rush really paid off for you.  There was just too many.  It started lagging everything too :D.

You're all lucky I'm getting mad crazy packet loss right now!
