I'm not a console gamer. I don't like them at all. The interface is far too limiting. A computer with a mouse and a keyboard gives way more precision and control. I only say this to explain the following: I've never played Halo2, but did play Halo1. Halo2 was never released for the PC, that I could find. I'm not totally ignorant of the ways of Halo2, but still only know bits and pieces of it.
I loved tribes 1, it was one hell of a game. I particularly liked the renegades mod made for some fun land sliding with the shockwave cannon.
Disk Fighting really really fun, arena battles really really really fun.. man it was a great game. Really good combination of managing energy with proper weapons and skill.
And if you didn't fancy a direct assualt fight, defend your base as an engineer with some turrets.
I even sent them a letter saying... make a Tribes MMO- level/talent based similar to WoW, but you can take on bigger and better mobs if your skill permitted (dexterity).
