Rounds fly thru gvs?
« on: May 24, 2007, 06:11:37 PM »
I was scanning for GVs in a P-38L last night.

One of my squaddies was engaging an enemy M4 with his Panzer.

From my angle, his shots were going thru the GV.  Things looked fine for him

:huh  Huh?

Just thought it was worth a mention

Because the actual flightpath and hit procedure is rendered only on your buddies computer. Due to internet lag, you (and everybody else) get's the information delayed anyway, and only his computer has to see if there is actually a hit.

It's the same thing when you, for example, see an enemy Ostwind hitting a town: The bullets seem to pass through the town as if he doesn't even hits the buildings, yet they do explode. Or when an enemy tank seems to shoot through a hill and hits you - Actually he may have shot over the hill (seeing perhaps just your pintle mount)
