Nothing wrong with 3K.  It's the place to be :)

Gents,

Here is the general area of the fights. Also the general locations of the IJN and American CV’s.

Why no F6's? Just curious.

Any chance they could be added to the mix?

The AH F6, is the F6F-5 a 1944 version. F4F's were still common on USN Flatops in 43. Hopefully the F6F-3 will make the stable one of these years, along with some other badly needed Japanese planes for historical setups. The big money is in the MA though, so I'm not holding my breath.:)

Heh, they're funny over there, still arguing over whether the arena split was good or bad.

I so love the AvA.

F6F-5 doesn't really over that much over the F6F-3 in terms of Air to Air performance, they added water injection and the roll rate is improved somewhat but I'm not sure if  it was the degrees per second that was increased or the stick forces required to deflect.  (not sure how much of an improvement it made, I'll have to check when I get home)

While important I don't think it would through things off too much.  The F6F-3 was already faster than the opponents it faced, and even with the spring tabs I the roll rate isn't the best out there.

More concerning, and I consider the strongest argument for using the F4U-1 instead of the F6F-5 is the ordanence capability of the -5 Hellcat.

Storch wears make-up?  That's disturbing.

Is that stink bait your tossing out?  Storch is no bottom feeder. I'd classify him as more of an aggressive game fish. I'd switch to a top water lure. Besides it's more fun to see the actual strike than it is to just watch a cork sink. :)

Gents since the 1st is tomorrow (Friday) it might be better if I set this up Saturday morning early. Apparently the first of the month causes problems due to the arena's resets and I would have to set it up all over again on Saturday anyway. I hate doing things twice when you don't need to.

I am checking with Fork on what I can do.  At this point I am planning on setting it up early Saturday morning. About 9 AM Eastern (6 AM my time).
