That writer was wrong on a couple of points imo.
"Not within living memory has Iran invaded or attacked another country." That's incorrect. When Iran supported the "student" invasion of the American embassy 1979 it was an attack against American soil.
Also, the writer seems to think that the president should seek direction from congress so as to avoid a war with Iran. That the president is not seems to be his justification for stating that the president is going to war against Iran. I hope our office of the president never becomes a puppet of our congress.
I forgot to mention the suspected incursions into Iraq from Iran in support of the insurgents. To ignore that would be to bury one's head in the sand.
