Strange Program Behavior
« on: May 29, 2007, 06:45:51 PM »
I just downloaded AH today from the website.  I installed it on my new PC (a Dell Dimension E521(Athlon 64 X2 3600+), 1.9GHz  with 2GB of ram, an nVidia GeForce 7300 card with 256mb of memory.

After setting the resolution to 1024x768 the game caches the planes, etc.

Once in the opening portion of the game with the menu, the clipboard behaves very radically.  There's like a blank sheet that flies around in circles as if attached to the clipboard and you were flipping the page over and over and over again.

If I go to the hanger and try to get into a plane to start a flight, it's as if the plane flips end over end over and over and over again.

I've tried changing my graphics settings, tried changing my joysticks and I have the same problem over and over.

What is this strange behavior?

Thanks

Ted

There is a "sticky" just above your topic about multi-core CPUs.

Gracias.  The patches didn't seem to do anything...but setting the icon to Windows 98 compatibility worked.

Many thanks

Is that fix applicable to Vista?  I'm still having clipboard issues.

As far as I know, the only "fix" in Vista is to run it under Win98 compatibility mode.  That's because AMD hasn't yet released the dual core patch for Vista, only for XP.
