Just wanted to post how the "Last Day of the Lexington" went last night. There was a fair turnout as you always wished for more. It was a fantastic time, I thank 68Falcon for spending the time doing it, I want to personally thank the Allied pilots of TF17, they saved the Lexington and the Yorktown as we lost no allied ships. The Lexington was damaged but stayed afloat as we were outnumbered and in inferior aircraft, the SBDs were forced into a defense role helping the F4Fs against a superior enemy force both in number and aircraft. We all were shot down save for one F4F but the enemy was unsuccessful in sinking the Lexington. Dogfighting a Zeke in a SBD was a harrowing experience but was fun. Salute to pilots in both sides for a great time.
