Next week I fly off to Memphis for my denomination's (
the PCA) General Assembly. I had my tickets booked through Cheaptickets two months in advance. Late morning flight from Fayetteville to Atlanta with a one hour stop over and then a connection on to Memphis. No worries.
Well this morning I received an email that indicated that the airlines had changed my reservations. See if you can spot the problem with the new arrangements that were emailed to me:
Monday, June 11, 2007
Fayetteville Municipal (FAY) to Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson ATL (ATL)
Departure (FAY): June 11, 8:00 AM EDT (morning)
Arrival (ATL): June 11, 9:17 AM EDT (morning)
Class: Economy
Monday, June 11, 2007
Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson ATL (ATL) to Memphis International (MEM)
Departure (ATL): June 11, 7:39 AM EDT (morning)
Arrival (MEM): June 11, 8:01 AM CDT (morning)I've since straightened it out and gotten new reservations, but believe it or not the first person I spoke to at customer assistance after pulling it up said,
"Ok, I have it, what seems to be the problem?" I was tempted to answer, "I don't believe Delta operates a TARDIS service out of Fayetteville", but I didn't think he'd get it.
Anyway, this was the first time this has happened to me, closest thing before was when a gate attendant on an overbooked flight tried to sell me on switching to a flight that arrived 5 minutes before the connecting flight left.
