Pretty incredible that an L.A. Times/Bloomberg poll putts former Senator Thompson in second place for the Republican nomination and just 6 points behind rudi!!....Never would have seen that coming, but then again its so freaking early, all of this can change in the blink of an eye.

So more than 12 months out, i'm curious to hear everyone's tickets, and GE winners?

Right now i'd say the Republican ticket will be Giullani and either McCain or Condi Rice as VP going against Hillary and Obama.  And even though I am a conservative, without bias, I truely believe that the Republicans will win against a hillary/obama ticket.

My bet it is either Edwards / Hillary or Hillary / Obama

Republican will be Giulliani / Rice or Giulliani / McCain

The only choice I think that has a shot for the Democrats is the Edwards / Hillary, although having Hillary on the ticket is a huge detriment to the Democrats.

IMO Obama is also becoming a major gamble to have on the ticket.  There is not a single leading GOP candidate half as polorazing as Hillary or Obama.

I'm still not understanding the Rudi-fest that is going on.  Is this people chosing him just because there is a lack of options?  Exactly what has he done to give him such notoriety?  So he was the mayor of New York during 9-11, yeah, he did a good job of organizing things and getting everything cleaned up.  Maybe he should be nominated to direct FEMA instead of getting the Republican nod.

I really haven't found a republican i would vote for, same goes for the democrats though.

If Ron Paul is still there for the primary vote i may throw my vote in for him, maybe because he is the only candidate that says what he thinks and doesn't back down.  Same goes for Romney, im not a religious man, but at least he stood by his, shows some character.  3 years later and im just as depressed about my options as i was last time.

I would disagree cody.  Growing up 35 minutes from Manhattan, the Mayor has always been in and out of my life.  I guess it has to with my regional location, however, when I look at Manhattan the day he took office, and the day he left office, I think he has the right stuff for the next level.  May not have the record, but he most definately has my trust.

I have to say, I am very enthusiastic about future President Giullani.  =)

The GOP hopes that Hillary will get the DNC nod.

There's not a single Republican candidate that can energize the GOP more than Clinton.

If a democrat wins and it has to come down to Hillary, Obama or Edwards, i'd take Hillary any day though.  She may be very far to the left, but if she becomes the first female President, she wont be gutless (I hope).

I dunno....I think Obama is a freaking joke.  The guy reminds me of a robot.  And John Edwards....He looks like a boy that should be eating one of those large 7 inch diamater mutli colored lollipops.

I think you might see a Thompson/Guliani

I think McCain will be bounced out before the primaries are all said and done.

Hardcore conservatives wont want Guliani as president due to his abortion views.  However, as a VP...don't know...could be interesting.

On the Dem side...I dont see Edwards making any real gains.  He's continuing to shoot himself in the foot.  Especially with his PeaceKeeper initiative over the weekend.

Hillary vs Obama is going to be interesting.  They really haven't blasted each other too badly.  Hillary being pro war, then against it, could harm her like Kerry's "I voted for it before I voted against it".  The flip and flop.
