As an NCO recently back from Iraq, all I can say about this video is that the behavior displayed by those who made and/or posted the video is completely un-professional and deserving of some severe disciplanary action.
In a combat theater, these kinds of juvenile pranks can have dire, and unintended consequences, that might have lead to U.S. casualties in reprisal.
The Iraqis in the clip appear to be IPs (Iraqi Police), our nominal Allies. They are taking serious risks to themselves and their families just by putting on that uniform and working with the U.S. Most of them probably have more knowlege of the English language, than the average American does of Arabic.
To assume that ALL IPs are insurgents waiting for a chance to strike is simple-minded at best, and criminally ignorant in the main. However, treating these IPs with such insulting antics just might have pushed some of them over to the other side in retaliation.
If I had caught any of my "kids" pulling a stupid stunt like this over there, as a start, I'd have verbally ripped them a new one...and then went on with a serious "oscar whupping", and I would have done it within plain sight of the IPs and other Iraqis so that they would have seen that this was not acceptable behavior.
Any of you kiddies who think it was funny in even the smallest way, are just as "Ate-Up" as the idiots who originally made and posted it.
