In my opinion the new arenas have gotten a lot more unhealthy then the main arena ever was.

The Straffers:
You mention a gv attack and 6 to 7 people will up in planes and straffe the GV's knowing full well the planes (i'm not talking IL2's or planes with strong enough cannons) that they are in are not going to kill a tank.

They do this knowing if they get enough hits on the vehicle they will get a kill by default (Someone else comes along with ORD or a friendly in GV will do the actual killing and they only get an assist).

A lot of these people will do this even though there is ORD available at the base. They also continue to do it when enemy aircraft are present, rather than going after the enemy planes they would rather go for the easy kill that someone else will get for them.

The Bombers:
The Bombers who will bomb GV bases and or airfields and then Auger. Or the classic Dive bombing that goes on with Bombers.

The Squeakers:
Thank God for Squelch. Sure would be nice to have a Perma-squelch feature that you could add/remove players from instead of having to squelch them on a daily baises.

The Hoer's
It seems anymore when a Plane aproaches you 7 out of 10 times it's going to be someone going for the HO.

I could go on but what's the point?

So how are these new arena's any healthier than the old MA?

DarkS1ar

Would you happen to be the Dark5tar in game if so were you talking about the Ho, when I shot you down??

If this is the case you may wish to rethink your version of events..

If not my apologies and feel free to continue your venting.....

(a) From the tone of my comments I think it was obvious to everyone but you, thatI didn't really care that he did that.   I just wondered what his reasoning was and/or what purpose or enjoyment he could possibly be getting from it, and

(b) since I wasn't angry or pissed, or wanting to embarrass him, unlike you, I didn't name him.

MY POINT was I it was very strange activity, and I've seen alot of strange stuff in two years here.  I just couldn't understand what or why he was doing what he was doing as it didn't make any real sense from my perspective.  He wasn't getting any real points, and he wasn't enjoying any fight, and it seemed to served no purpose (not even a decent milkrun) I could figure, AND he did it repeatedly.  It was like he was banging his head against a brick wall, so when he stopped, it would feel good.  LOL

It was funny, strange, curious and IMO lame, unless he was new and simply didn't understand the game well.  Hey, I had to give it some title, so from my perspective and without knowing his reasoning (which I probably never will) it seemed lame.

Finally, the further reason for the post was to find out what other especially strange or 'lame' incidents of gameplay (with a hopefully humorous point of view) others have seen lately and could recount.  All as I think I stated in the beginning, just for "chits and giggles."

Actually a big difference from your post Boy-yo.

Looks at the title of the thread "Lame-O Award"

I'm a Bish and I see lots of Bomb n Bail guys particularily hitting VB's, only a few on higher alt missions but the point is all countries seem to have their B'n'B guys so quit Bish Bashin'.
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.

While there are times I sort of understand why they do it, the game should award the perkies to the closest plane, regardless of distance.  That would encourage the fight.

When is it ok?  I have seen guys bomb a base, auger, then come right back to bomb again.    I don't do that, but I see the logic.

Of course, if my rule about waiting 5 minutes to re-up after a death or capture were in the game, this might change, too :)

Forgotten, but back in the game.  :)

My LAME-O award..

LAST night, Orange, by a certain country ending in -OP.

A certain disputed field, between bish and rooks.

5 vs 1, situation CO-ALT... or i was a bit below their alt.  I was in a Yak Tango.

By myself, no other friendlies in the tile, let alone icon range.

First one.. HO... i evade right.
Second one..HO.. i evade back left.
THIRD ONE...HO... knocks off elevator.
FOURTH ONE..HO.. i dive to evade.
FIFTH ONE.. HO.. kills radiator.

I split S, reverse, and get saddled on one of em, an LA-7,
who runs to ack.. which subsequently kills me.   Lol..it's just a game, but that is lame.

And by HO, i don't mean the current excuseable "high deflection shot" scenario... I mean center of windscreen, in the pipper, HEAD ON SHOT.  I am subsequently rethinking my "NO HO attitude" to that of a "BISH ONLY" HO policy.  Does not apply to knights though.  I can get a good, decent fight outta them... and get my fanny waxed 60% percent, or more, of the time, HAVING FUN.

Whenever I run into someone who HOs me, I smile because more than likely I am about to get an easy kill.

When I run into someone that avoids the HO like I do, I know I am in for a tough fight.

That more than makes up for the occasional time when I don't successfully avoid the HO.

Only 7 out of 10?  You lucky bastage.

I love the guys who, when you try to evade their HO, immediately claim" It wasn't a HO, it was a high deflection shot"  These morons think that because you tried to evade the HO/collision and then they kicked ruuder for a gun solution that it somehow wasn't a HO.  Noobs
