Could be tough....I've never seen a CV get sunk by Torpedoes in AH.

Bombs yes.

Shore Bats yes.

Torps?  Never.

I have sunk them before. It was on the old islands map where each country had about 5 or 6 TG's each.

Take a CV by an enemy PT spawn point or have it go through another enemy CV task force and you'll see plenty of 'gamey' use of the torpedo...

The ole launch my torp's tower re-launch rinse repeat...

I have killed CV's with the torps on PT's many times.  Trick is just to HO them so you do not have to adjust angle.  Give it a little spread off the torps and it is hard for the cv to avoid.

lol. Where the f*** are YOU guys when im playing?!? Ive taken enemy TGs head on with mine, and mine always seems to kill EVERYTHING before they get PTs out :D Of course that could be because, like the soldier I am, I SINK all of the PTs that DO spawn.

of course the big question is:  Was any one driving the CV or manning the five inch?

The classic PT spawn from A9 to P7 is usually where I see the most realistic use of torps against a CV.     You know,  spawn launch, .ef ... spawn, launch, .ef, repeat 100 times.

However, even under that barrage of torpedoe fire, it isn't too terribly difficult to get out of there.    As for low level JU88 runs....if I'm on board manning the 5 inch...chances are....the Ju88's gonna die before they get into an effective range.    The biggest threat to CV's in AH is bombs.
