OK, I'm not a sensative guy or anything but I had this idea:

Why not add flowers to the terrain?  Many flowers don't grow very high and are mostly just ground cover.  So why not add them by simply painting them into the existing terrain tiles as dots or patches of primarily yellows, whites and blues with an occasional dash of red and apply them only to the open plains areas?

Similarly, downed and drying leaves, pine needles and even small twigs/branches could be added to the forested areas in shades of brown, rust and grey.

I think it would be a simple yet elegant addition to terrain immersion and would have little if any frame impact.
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.

I would like to fly over the mountains and see a blond nun and a bunch of children singing and dancing in leiderhosen (sp?).  Could have a VonTrapp sound pack maybe?

It'd be a nice addition I think.

Unlike the mass amount of forum goers on here, I thought that green scheme terrian change we had 2 months ago was a move in the right direction.  It needed to be tweaked as it was hard to see planes etc near the ground; however, my opinion has always been that the terrain for AH has been a graphical eye sore for me.  The smoother transitions and non-hedgerow looking terrain was an improvement or at least a step in the right direction.  I hope the development on that 2 week terrain is in redevelopment and has not been scrapped.

I'd also like to see smoke come out of the smoke stacks on factory buildings in towns, fields, and industry areas, like the smoke that comes out the the train smoke stacks. Something simple, yet would make the ground features a little more realistic.

As long people don't start arguing about having the 'wrong type of flowers', and 'they didn't grow like that' and even 'we NEED to have poppies because they are taller and redder and what about more Japanese flowers then!' - - - oh dear   LOL  :D

But I would like to say that HTC did a good job on improving the landscape. (Can I have a Beaufighter now...?)  ;)
Here we are, living on top of a molten ball of rock, spinning around at a 1,000mph, orbiting a nuclear fireball and whizzing through space at half-a-million miles per hour. Most of us believe in super-beings which for some reason need to be praised for setting this up. This, apparently, is normal.

I think the last patch was brilliant.  Was driving past the windmill buildings earlier and the detail put into them is excellent.

Rivers will be added i'm sure, but as for flowers and such behave people.

We are here to fly and kill, not to look at FLOWERS!

To think of it now. An all out ground assualt, stopped because the M3 driver, wanted to pick a poppy.

Whats this terrain comming too. jeesh.

I like the smoke idea, that would be a sweet eye candy.
Forgot who said this while trying to take a base, but the quote goes like this. "I cant help you with ack, Im not in attack mode" This is with only 2 ack up in the town while troops were there, waiting. The rest of the town was down.

The river add would be nice with some bridges that can be destroyed. Would force an lvt crossing. kinda like a moat around a castle.  If the bridge is out no GV's could cross. That is all.
