(already been explained that you don't do anything, your CO does)

I know, but I didn't understand the instructions and I wasn't shure that the co did everything because in the e-mail I received from the co he commented that he was not shure about the changing nose art process. But, he was able to send the nose art (his decision) to the newly forming squad. Also, he was able to show me the way you get the nose art into your aces high file I think for upload purposes. Now, the question still is how do I or you claim the co change the art so that I get the nose art I want (cos permission has been granted) without changing the nose art for the other members until they want to change.:furious

Shifty,

Thanks for responding but, I have read those instructions.I removed the old nose art and put the new nose art in the folder. The co wants to keep the old art for the fighter group but, he also said it's ok for the newly forming squadrons within the group to have their own art that he designed and sent out to the members. Now, the question is can you have nose art for the squads or just for the fighter group? Also, how is this accomplished?
I tried to do it myself but, it won't work. Will I have to waite until the next game release for the upload process to pull the new image from my computer?I'm really confused (and a little dumb:lol )

Okay these FG's do they have a different commander? Is this a mega squad that has more than 32 members? If so the Commander of the seperate FG would have to upload the image. Another thing you might try is copying the new image over the old one using the same name in your AH folder.......... I said might try, remember.:)

Shifty,

Its a squad with less than 32 members.I was wondering if its possible for the squads within the fighter group to have their own nose art.I have already tried what you are suggesting and it didn't work.I have written the fighter group co to get his take on the matter.

Thx,

Okay here's the catch........... I think the seperate groups can just copy over the old insignia with the new one in the folder. However everybody in the squad will see whatever insignia they have loaded in their folder on all the squadron aircraft. So if you have the new insignia, that's what you will see on each and every squadron plane you look at. Where as a squadmate with the old insignia will see the old one on each and every plane, even if he looks at your plane.

Does that make sense? Plus this isn't gospel, somebody may know more about it than me and shoot this whole theory to hell. :D

Ok, thanks shifty.I received an e-mail from hitech today and they said only the co can do the upload. So, as I understand it the co does an upload for the entire unit not individual squadrons.I'd like to see individual squadrons get their own art but, I don't know if thats possible. Thanks again for your advice.

The only way for individual squadrons to have their own nose art is to have them in game as a separate squadron outside of your CO's realm of control. Then each squadron leader can upload the nose art for every person in the squadron. Otherwise you don't do individual nose art with in the group.

Yep,

That's the way I see it and I think Hitech took the same position.

Thx,
