Taurus pt140 pro in .40 S&W. 3rd gen. DA/SA, no hammer, no decocker,10 round magazines, 2 inch barrel, 17oz. polymer frame. Very small pistol, smallest .40 that I know of, barely fits my hand, and I have small hands. Has a firing pin block, right side thumb safety, and the slide can be locked closed with a key. Ergonomically it's perfect if you're right handed and have small paws. Asthetically it would be very nice if it didn't have silver writing all over the slide. Inexpensive pistol that's exceeded my expectations. An excellent concealed defensive pistol.
also has a visible and feelable round-in-the-chamber indicator
So far I've put 750 rounds through it, four different brands of cheap practice ammo, both 165 and 180gr. 100 - 200 shots between cleanings. I'm suprised that none of the ammo has failed, kinda hoping for a stubborn primer so that I can try the double action restrike feature. Not really accurate but as accurate as can be expected from a 2 inch tilting barrel and 5 inch sight radius. The blocky Heine sights don't help either, I plan on replacing them with some narrower sights.
My only problem with it is that it's shoots a few inches to the left. Like 3-6 inches at 7 meters. The sights are already adjusted as far as they can be to the right. I'm thinking that the barrel and the slide don't mate up well.
So I'm going to send it back to taurus and have them fix it. That's another good thing about this pistol. Taurus has a pretty much unlimited lifetime warranty on their guns.
