Vista and Audigy SE

Once I switched to Vista, I noticed that there wasn't a "Mic Boost" option anymore for my vox. So after a little research on the Creative forums, I found these:

http://members.cox.net/houle_p/micboost_off.reg
http://members.cox.net/houle_p/micboost_on.reg

and if you're wary of using *.reg files, or they don't work for you, you can manually change your registry by changing the following key:

Quote
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E96C-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}\0007\Settings "MicBoost"=dword:00000001

Be sure to reboot after making any changes to your registry. You still won't find the check box for the "mic boost", but it will be enabled.

Skuzzy, I'll be hosting those links until Creative Labs or Microsoft fixes the mixer. Feel free to add them to your Vista Help sticky.
