I think people confuse the term "turn fight" to mean just turning in flat circles when it actually refers to turning to get an angle.  Which is why its also referred to as Angles Fighting which is the more accurate term.

And I agree, it's all about the angle of attack.  That's how the P-38 is able to get the better of some of the better turning fighters.

This is definetly not my field when it comes to the 38 but I've always (well, normally) had good fights in the ''L'' model :aok

Well the G you cant see out of compared to the L.  The L does have the boosted ailerons but its heavier.  The L also has wep which will help out depending how long the fight goes.  The G turns tighter than the L.  I prefer my L though as I just have better luck in it.

Im still out to prove the L can be used for something besides suicidal porking.
