help . . lag
« on: July 05, 2007, 01:55:58 PM »
Have been having what appears to be extra lag since buying a intel core 2 duo computer.... thought faster cpu would help game play....butttttt...

I have cable modem with digital voice phone and a router...dont know much about computers...

any Ideas on how to stream line or get more performance to reduce amout of lag?

Any help would be appreciated. thanks!

Unfortuately, I see you are on Comcast.  Try running a PingPlot (http://www.pingplotter.com) to 206.16.60.37.

My guess is you will see a lot of packet loss within Comcast's network or at its network edge.
