The stripes are part of the "lining up" I mentioned. I was mainly trying to get them sized right first, now Im tweaking it little by little to get them in the right place. Its a pain in the oscar when I have to flatten about 90 layers to check on a 5-pixel movement...
I don't know if its a model issue or what, but when I move the codes it just doesnt look right. They look way too low and lopsided, like someone who'd never seen where they normally go slapped them on. And none of my fonts match the style used on the SN#, and when I try to stretch them to match they look horribly distorted and much worse than having them a bit too small. Way too pixelated, if that explains it. And I originally had the _ down lower, but half of it disappeared on the shape of the tail or under the section mapped for the underside. The tail shape is enough "off" to be a pain sometimes, just look at the size and location of the tail wheel door on the screenie and the pic to see what I mean. The curves and sizes don't quite match, so I keep running into issues like that.
Biggest pain is that there are so many layers that I spend more time flattening and converting now than I do actually moving and reshaping codes and stripes. Gimp takes FOREVER to work with in layers, god I miss photoshop!
