Tower Queen Eliminator
« on: July 07, 2007, 11:14:47 AM »
Just left one of the LW arenas.  Bish had been doing pretty well, actually pretty close to map reset.  However, Bish ENY was over 20 and the nits were coming back pretty strong.  Now as far as "in flight" numbers go, the fight was pretty even between Bish and nits.  Not many Rooks on.  Problem was, Bish had a lot of tower queens and our ENY was considerably higher than the nits.  Even pilot numbers but lopsided ENY.

Problem that I have noticed is that as a map approaches reset,  players from the winning side seem to stay logged on but inactive.  I guess a possible motive for this is to pick up some free perk points.  Makes it real tough of those trying to win an otherwise even fight with high ENY planes.

What I suggest is a timed logout for those who have been inactive.  5 min, 10 min, 15 min, I don't know.  But the tower queens need to go.

Yes.

Also it's kind of funny, when you get down to about 2 more bases your ENY climbs to 20 +.

Ehh, I was thinking more along the lines of, Switching and going AFK for an hour just to get the perks. Maybe, when you switch, you have to log at least 10 sorties or something to get the perks?

You don't get the perks that easy. AFAIK, it's still several hours, just the actual switching time limit has been lowered to 1h

(Besides that, I could get 10 sorties in 20 seconds, wouldn't be a limit at all ;) )

Isn't it about 1/2 hour after you switch sides you get the perks? Any erlier than that you don't get them...

Maybe...each sortie has to be so long?

May also be shades from the OTHER side joining the high side to force ENY restrictions higher.

Would be cool to be able to bomb or strafe a tower and get kills for all who are hiding inside.
