Ya it took me a while to get used to the shrieks of hunger induced pain and the constant whining about food heard just yesterday, but it does not bother me much now.

Course he is 26 I've had a lot of time to get thick skinned.

TXMom,

I don't think our sociologists have even started to scratch the surface when it comes to understanding the impact the internet is having on our culture.

They came close to classifying video games as an addiction.  If people can become addicted to gambling ( purely an emotional/mental reliance ) then there is no reason why video games cannot trigger the same sort of influence.

As games become more and more immersive, flooding the senses with stimuli that rival reality, I suspect we're going to be hearing of more and more cases such as this.

I wouldn't be surprised if several in the Aces High community, itself, have made questionable decisions on their priorities in life.. just for the thrill of playing.

I would certainly hope that nothing coming close to this level of neglect has occurred.

People we're neglecting their kids long before there was an internet and I suspect that they will continue to do so long into the future.

It's just nonsense.

You are responsible for your children. If you do not take care of them, it is your fault. You can't blame television, or video games, or bingo, or anything or anyone else.

Here's the real shame... these dip****s created two children that will in all likelihood grow up to neglect their own children in turn... that is if they survive.

*shrugs* I definitely had more than a sentence of commentary before that article. It's okay though. Was a pretty crumby story anyhow ~ worth not seeing.
