Diablo : 1) unlawful tint, maybe 2) Front plate absent

Unlawful tint can be unique to Ca, some states allow other than factory tint on the drivers / passengers front windows, even the windshield. In Ca no tint beyond "factory" is allowed unless there's a passenger mirror, even then only windows behind the driver can be tinted.

No front plate and objects obstructing drivers view (hanging from mirror) probably apply in Texas. No big deal, but good enough for Johnny Law to use as PC.

Objects hanging from a rear view would NOT be a "Primary Offense".   Merely, added onto a "another violation", as they are clearly a "Secondary Offense".

I could careless if they are illegal in California, this thread never MENTIONED Cali. until YOU did.

I think this "Yankee" can speak for the "Texans" when I say: "Who cares about Cali. in this thread?"

Post some more pics after this next run Diablo.   Some in here, just try and ruin threads.

Texas allows tint to a certain level.  Texas does require a front metal license plate.  And the police will use it as an excuse when needed.  Otherwise they let it go.

You can have anything hanging from your rear view mirror as long as the direct forward view is clear.

actually mine only has rear tint right now, sides bubbled so i pealed it. i think it's the rear tint thats making it look so dark. i can't rmember the tint% is here but i think it can be darker than stock.

front plate is a fine here but so many officers are into this stuff also and they don't care. every once in awhile you get one that does.

My violations are in the emissions dept., thank god for LS1 Edit.

florida does not require the stupid front plate, many states do not require one.

florida also ended the mechanical and emission inspections, so far no blood bath on the highways has ensued.

I could care less about the front license plate law.  Write me up, I'll pay the fine.  And my tint is 100% legal.  And I've never heard of anyone getting pulled over, much less ticketed, from having something hanging off the rearview mirror.  My apartment parking permit is hanging off mine.

What was funny was when whiteman and I showed up at the restaurant when the 2 kids were being ticketed by the Galveston cop, the cop saw all of these Camaro's pulling up to the restaurant, not a one with a front license plate, and did nothing.  We even went to him to ask if parking where we did was alright.  He said yes, but whiteman had to turn his car around 180 degrees, lol.

Yeah Karaya, there's always at least one post that tried to be negative.  Nothing you can do about the 10 percenters.

LMAO, seeing as I followed you all the way to The Spot from Cherry Hill and the kids were being written up as we pulled into the parking area, I think someone was seeing things.  Child abuse indeed.

LOL, no, I'm not saying there aren't fast rice out there, quite the contrary.  I just don't dig on 'em.  Although the Supra that was with us was pretty sweet.

As I saw somewhere else, 2.0 litres isn't an engine, it's a bottle of Coke.

Try an Evo X (2l) or WRX Sti (2.5l). Ignore the fact they look like cartoons on wheels. Just dog one out for 10 minutes. There's alot to be said for big turbos and AWD :)

Supras can be beasts as long as they came with turbos orginally or had an engine swap. 2JZGTE = twin turbo inline 6 of fury. A friend of mine over at a Toyota dealership has an 800hp single turbo. Good stuff.

I like anything that goes fast, foreign or domestic. The faster it goes, the less I care how it looks :)

I just went through the new pics posted and, son of a gun, I didn't see the silver one when we were there, only that green one.  Damn I'm getting old...
