hey guys, and gals,
first..i apologize if this is the wrong place to put this.
now, as i know there's quite a few here in aces hi that fly real aircraft too. i know i do.....only fly single engine lsand right now......going for my instrument rating this winter i think.
Anyway.......FAA is tryin to rake us all over the coals.......they're trying to get a bill or bills passed that'd increase our fuel tax from about 19 cents a gallon to over 70 cents a gallon....ig hike as 100LL is already $4.89 here in nj....i'd imagine it's quite a bit higher in other parts of the country. they're also proposing to CHARGE GA pilots for ANY use of the air traffic control system in any way shape or form. that means if you want to call to check weather for a long distance flight they're gonna charge ya for it. use flight following? they'l;l charge ya for that too. wanna do touch n goes at your local airport? every tiem rubber touches blacktop will cost ya. there's more that i can't remember, but i think we need to do what we can to stp this.
i think if you visit
http://www.aopa.org , you can find more info on this there.
oh yea.....if i recall from the last article i read about it.....it'll also affect boaters......recreational, AND commercial....any watercraft using the waterways within the USA.
