Thursday snapshot - Targets Over London - on the July 12
« on: July 10, 2007, 01:15:03 AM »
Thursday snapshot on the July 12th will be Targets Over London.

The event starts at 21.00 CET, 3 PM EST @ Special Events Arena

Quote
From the German stand point the Battle of Britain was fought in 3 stages. The 3rdstage was fought between August 8 and September 7, 1940. In this action the bombers returned to the task allocated to them by the first Luftwaffe Chief of Staff, General Wever, 'The enemy air force must be wiped out while still grounded'. Due to the limited range of the German escorts only one tenth of the isle was subject to attack, much of which was near or around London. The rest of the isle was allowed to build squadrons, train men, and ship men and equipment without interference to the war front near London.

Welcome!

old AH1 map. Don't you recognize the cliffs of dover (barely visible on right side of Ju88s)? That was a great map.

P.S. That screenshot has a Spit IX in it (dual radiators). I hope that the 1940 setting limits the spits to Mk.IAs. :D

Just a reminder that this will be played today and all are most welcome!

Krusty has an official invitation to come and get a new flashy screenshot for this snapshot, naturally with the correct amount of spitfire radiators :)
