Internet requirments for AH

what is the lowest  upload/download rate you can have to run AH

i just want to know, cause i got Teamspeak to be able to stay in contact with my friends :)

My internet runs at about..

Download Speed: 45 kbps (5.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 236 kbps (29.5 KB/sec transfer rate)

and the way my teamspeak is set up it takes away about 9-10kbps from both download and upload side.

is my internet enough to run both without problems?

thanks in advance:aok

Wes if your running in the H2H rooms ok, you'll be fine on the Main Arenas. Speed isn't what really important, just a solid steady connection. Game runs fine on dial-up in most areas that are stuck with it.

More important to connection speed is your system's resource load.
Running the game and Teamspeak should not be bad.
Running the game, teamspeak, a software-based firewall, BitTorrent, Norton Ghost, IM, iTunes, a couple automatic downloading/updating programs, and a smattering of spyware/maleware in the background will have a bit of a negative effect on you game connection.

my computer is good. but i think i might have to see about downloading ping plotter to see what the hell is going on with my connection.

I've seem one pretty high pings(highest yet is around 5000ms,and loest ive seen was 200),is that good?

and ive tested in H2H it does get warpy after a while :(

my PC runs Norton A/V and firewall, but im kinda paranoid about disabling it, considering without it, my computer is a sitting duck for any attackers.

my IM is normally logged off and or closed when im on

and i *don't* think my PC has spyware or malware

Get a program called Ad-aware. Its free and is a good program for finding malware and other crud that gets into your computer.

Your computer isn't under attack as much as you think..... unless of course your computer is one of the ones that monitor and maintain the US defense systems. Turning off Nortons is a big help. Nortons will try to check each packet of info that is sent from the game, slowing everything down to cause lag for you.

H2H rooms are more reliant on the "hosts" computer. So if they have a crappy connection, so will you. Check the sticky Skuzzy posted about connections, and ping the address he has there. It will show you what your ping to the mains really is. 200 is playable, but just to give you an idea, mines between 40-50 most of the time, very steady.

For some strange reason I can't find the all powerfull disable button that turns the whole thing off.  Where is it, or do I have to go through all of the little bull**** things it covers and say disable for like 3 hours, becuase I don't think that does it.

Basically is there one button I can push to turn it all of and then when I'm done playing turn it back on, and if so where is it?

Thanks
