unpatch the amd patch
« on: July 17, 2007, 08:32:42 PM »
How do I unpatch the amdcpsetup.exe patch If I can at all, I can no longer log into AH2 at this time, if anyone can help me unpatch it will be greatly appreciated if not I guess it will be wait until AH3 comes out.  I will give it a few days on the forum here before calling Hitech and cancel my account, If that comes to pass, I want to say it has been fun :) .

If you are talking about the AMD Dual-Core Optimizer patch, that patch will not effect the game in the way you are suggesting it has, unless your computer has a virus, or something else messing with executables, or the installation of the patch was aborted by resetting the computer in the middle of the installation.

Thousands of people have installed the AMD dual-core optimizer patch without any adverse side-effects to any software.  It is an absolute requirement for some software packages to run correctly.

More than likely a firewall is blocking the game's access to the Internet, if you cannot get passed the login.

Check the 'Add/Remove Programs' ICON, in the Control Panel, for a de-installer.

Thanks for your input, I got it to work simply by change compatibility to win 98, again thanks :)
