I'm still up in the air with this guy.. He says a lot of great things in regards to how our country "should" work.. I just wonder if doing things the way he wants "could" work. Not because the ideas are bad, but because we already have the 5 ton gorilla on our backs and it's hard to get it off.

On most aspects I agree with the guy, our govt needs to get it's bellybutton out of my life. Govt is there to serve the people of this country, not rule over it like some misguided monarchy.

However I do understand that there are certain social benefit in regards to govt regulation. I'm not one that thinks that "free market" can work everything out. Simply because so many will get left behind and I don't trust big money to think about the little guy.

I think personally somewhere in the middle ground between what Ron Paul talks about vs what we have now, would likely work the best. One thing is for sure this country needs drastic change and not the same olé same BS which we get president after president.

Personally I don't understand how any of you self proclaimed conservatives could be against this guy. In fact it should be the liberals that hate him and the conservatives should love him. Funny as it's the totally opposite.. Seems liberals love the guy and conservatives hate him.. go figure..

I like the guy crockett.. I also admit that he has a snowballs chance in hell of winning..

Too many people like yourself out there that are afraid to make their own decisions and are afraid of their fellow citizens... too many who want to run other peoples lives.... "for their own good" of course.

Too many who want government to protect them from themselves and who think that freedom is secondary to security or to cost.

Too many that think school is too important for vouchers or that insurance profits are too important to allow people to choose to wear seatbelts or helmets.

Too many who think I owe them medical care or food or a house.

Too many who think you should be jailed for hurting peoples feelings.

Too many who have no problem with sending in the military when someone doesn't pay their taxes.

I do love the fact that he moved up to 4th in the latest heat of the campaign contribution race on the Repub side.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

I hope he does very well.. he can't get to far but...

The farther he gets the better the message for both parties.

Although.. congress seems to not care much that their approval rating is about the same as that of rabid skunks so...   maybe it is too late.
