OE help file?
« on: July 20, 2007, 01:36:48 PM »
Is it just me, or is there not a hlp file for the OE?

I've installed the AHEdit2102.exe file a couple of times , and on a couple of different machines, and there is no "help" in OE, nor is there an HLP file in the directory where the software is installed as there is for TE and CE.

Is this the same for everyone?

Thanks!

Thanks again, Rogerdee.  Maybe it's still out for updating.

The only help is a readme file inside the TE folder, it's enough to get you started.

Thx !!!

At this stage of the game, I more wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something critical than I am chomping at the bit to start building objects - and I mostly wanted to look through the OE help file to make sure I understood (or was at least cognizant of) any terminology I wasn't certain of.

But as I'm working my way at a snail's pace towards an MA style map, there's no  OE for me in the foreseeable future, so I'll content myself with the readme.

(And until and unless we suddenly have a dire need for stick figures, probably not much ever.. :D )

If you're trying to use the OE to make objects for the MA. FORGET IT! Nothing made in the OE is accepted into the MA. It's only accepted in H2H (8-Player) and the SEA arena.

Anyways, here's my tutorial to get you started:

Thanks gents - more than enough there to give me the rudimentary knowledge I was looking for.
