Now... I haven't really thought this through... It just popped into my head the other night...
I take recomendations to this idea...
Here it is...
I think that for every mission there should be a counter-mission launched to try and stop it. For example...
A mission full of B-24's is going to take off and hit knits HQ hard... there are almost 11 bomber pilots. They havev 6 P-51D escorts.
Meanwhile the knits have been alerted of this mission and been told the take-off point. The knits start a mission that takes 3 minutes to start up. The knits now have a counter mission. they have not been given the target of the bombing raid... but they know which direction the bombers are headed.
They duel it out and there are no survivors...
but what I was trying to get too was the counter mission part. Let's say Bish makes a mission. Then in the missions part of the clipboard, they knits click on the counter-mission button. It switches to the missions that are being made by the enemy. The knits have an option to click on that, and start a counter-mission. The counter-mission will take off at the same time the real mission does. The counter-mission group will be given the correct direction to go too (only if the Bish had made it clear in their mission title or that little green line) Otherwise they counter-mission will only be given' the airfield that the mission took off from.
Now here's some issues I've been mustering up while typing this.
1. The enemy could use this as a decoy... for example, they could make a mission, start it, and have it turn out to be one or 2 bombers while the counter-mission has over 20 pilots.
And here's how to fix it (I think)
The counter-mission planner see's all of the real mission... the planes, pilots, and ordnance loads... even the name. That way they know whether or not they need to be worried about it.
Tell me what you think! Like i said, I'm open to ideas and suggestions.
