Invalid Component 0 ??
« on: July 18, 2007, 11:07:06 PM »
What does that mean?
I was dropping bombs on a tank, everyone saw that it hit the tank dead on (actually two tanks), and instead of a killed tank I received an orange message that said:
Invalid Component 0

??? what does that mean?

Then after that, I went to dive bomb a vehicle hangar.  I dropped from about 500 feet, dead center on with whatever bombs the ki84 holds....nothing...not even a black spot.

I've also noticed that after picking up some rudder pedals, my airplane 'flops' around whenever I move the joystick a bit.  I disconnect the rudder pedals and switch back to twisty, same result.  I disable that axis in the twisty also - same result?

I'm having issues...help! :)

#1 You've found a bug. It has been popping up lately.

#2 You were too low

#3 I can't help, I do not have pedals

I have found either you had a perfect hit (no visual hit indication if you are dead on, but didn't take it out) OR you were too low.

If you didn't hear a boom, then you were too low.

I have also gotten this while bombing, but I have also gotten it while shooting another tank. I hit the panzer square in the turrent I then started to traverse to another target I saw the orange message that said invalid component 0, I moved my sights back to the panzer to get another shot thinking I had hit A tree or shrub I shot again this time I seen his pintle gun fall off and thae same message came up, He then spotted me and shot me down. I did not post it cuz I did not film.

When I emailed them about this bug, I remember them saying it was something freakish. I think it was attacking a Panzer within certain conditions while a P-51 is in the area.
