stick scaling problem

Hi, my name is Sperky.  (Hi Sperky)  and i own a Logitech stick   I don't really want to stir up the controversy with the brands but a thread like this will inevitably do just that.  It serves my noviceness just fine.

In the map controller page I can select the advanced box and the new page appears for scaling.  The option to ENABLE stick scaling is present but I am not able to select that option.  Is this an error on my part somewhere or is it just due to the Logitech stick?
