Autoclimb
« on: July 26, 2007, 11:33:22 PM »
Hard drive on my computer died and had to replace it.
Which meant I had to replace everything that was on it including AH

Up and running no prob. Reinstalled the game.
But when I went to map my controler. I cant find Autoclimb.
I can find auto level, auto angle. but no autoclimb.

Did they remove it as an option and ifso why?

Or is it just lost and I cant find it? LOL

It's not called autoclimb, IIRC the controller function is tagged "auto speed".

It's not autoclimb, it's auto-speed.  Autoclimb just uses a pre-HTC determined autospeed for each planes "autoclimb."  That's why you change it by typing .speed(whatever number), because the speed setting is really what our autoclimb is.

So,

Do any of you bright boys remember the key strokes to enable it? You certainly have it's identification down pat.

Alt-X is our "autoclimb."

He's not asking for the keyboard command, hes asking what it's called so he can map it to his stick.

If on the clipboard you go to Options/Controls/Map Keys subsection Flight, you'll find the Auto Angle, Level, and Speed settings at the top. Shift X, X, and Alt X respectively.

I don't know if he's using CH or Saitek gear, but my X52 emulates keystrokes, so labelling is moot- only the key mappings matter.

I guess AH doesn't have a default auto climb speed setting per aircraft?
Does this have to be set each time climb speed is selected or will it default to the speed you selected at the begining of the sortie up till the end of the sortie?
I use auto climb on angle most the time but was just curious.

The speed you select with the .speed command will remain until either you change it, or end the sortie.

Yes what I wanted was what the command was in the "Map Controlers" that would be the equivelent of Alt X or Autoclimb

I'll give auto speed a shot I just dont seem to remember it as being that LOL
