HE 111

I believe this is the most obvious plane that is missing from the Aces High planeset.

After all it was used in huge numbers in all theaters the Germans were fighting in.

So with the arrival of B25.( Witch is excellent in my eyes), I really hope that Hitech and crew finally makes the HE 111.

( It would be great to have the Condor to, in the German planeset, but the HE 111 is way more important.)

I know this is not the first request for this plane, but I take the liberty to ask for it again ;-)
You smell that? Do you smell that?
Napalm, son. Nothing else in the world smells like that.
I love the smell of napalm in the morning.
The smell, you know that gasoline smell, smelled like victory.

The He111 was not voted for nearly as much as the B25. Therefor, we get a B25.
A Rook who first flew 09/26/03 at the age of 13, has been a GL in 10+ Scenarios, and was two-time Points and First Annual 68KO Cup winner of the AH Extreme Air Racing League.

We have the Ki61. It's identical in almost every way to the Ki100. Just pretend the engine sounds are different and you're set.

The He-111 was one of the group of aircraft voted on. IRRC the vote wasn't on which one we'd get, but which one we'd get first. :aok

Yes, different engine, but 99.9% identical performance across the board. Hence my comment "imagine different engine sounds"....

The Ki100 was no better than the Ki61, in regards to performance. There were minor changes but nothing noteworthy. It was more a stop-gap, desperate "get any plane in the air" conversion

Actually it was a high altitude plane that turned better, climbed better.   So more than "just a slight difference".

Nope. Look it up again. It had *slightly* better climb at alt, but only because of a *slight* weight decrease.

It's climb rate was a small % increased over the 61, but nothing phenominal. The radial was no better than other contemporary japanese radials (nothing especially "high alt" about it) and the top speed was nearly identical to the Ki61.

It's been discussed ad nauseum in the wishlists forum, many times over many years.

EDIT: I did a quick search.

However, in AH2 our engine management is already as simple as it gets and engine reliability is not modeled.

The only advantages associated with the Ki-100 may be improved rearward vision and no radiator to leak coolant. Countering that is increased drag and reduced vision over the nose.
