Joint training has already begun for DGS, here the 4th and 357th get a little co-op time.

Just wanted to share some Mustang Porn. :D
Treize (pronounced 'trays')- because 'Treisprezece' is too long and even harder to pronounce.

I don't get the spam can thing... What, is it because they're "dead meat"?

That was this historical reference to 51s.

An example quoted from the official wartime history of the 479th Fighter Group that transitioned from P38s to 51s.

"The first pilot to finish his missions this month was Lt. Hoverston, strictly a P38 boy with a distinct dislike for the P51 Spam Can."

Basically implying, mass produced, cheaply made etc :)

P38 = a nice steak

P51 = er...well.... Spam :)

CC Guppy, thanks! Wasn't sure if it was a reflection on the plane or on the pilot's fate :D

Both of those look nice but they are not finished yet.... both still need the nose hook for towing to alt by 38s.

Spam Can was also in reference to its rectangular, slab sided fuselage aft of the cockpit in comparison to the P47.
