Radio that Plays Music You Like

My friend recently e-mailed me a link to a website called Pandora. Pandora is the result of the music genome project. It basically categorizes your favorite artists, and formulates a music station. Check out the link, its very easy to use, and I've heard only good things about it. Enjoy!

Yup, and I've discovered countless bands I've never heard of and I've thoroughly enjoyed.  If I dont have my mp3 player with me, I use pandora

Pandora.com isn't just a net radio, it's a neat way to find new bands based on stuff you like.  Musical tastes are a lot more complicated than genres, being able to give a list of things you like and train it as it plays means you can get your own specially tuned 'Bob' style station.  It's neat, but has gotten more limited lately because of the changes in media laws.

Agreed.  It's a nice little setup.  The only way I've been finding 'new' bands to listen to has been on internet radio stations.  99.99% of music on the radio (or music video stations) just sounds like the same ol crap these days to me.

You can listen online free and even purchase a radio to listen to away from the computer.
