« on: August 01, 2007, 08:08:42 AM »
When i fly in the 8 player rooms the flak, smoke, leaks, etc, disapper when I move a sertian way.  The hangars Ack and other buildings at the airfield dissappear when i move my plane a sertian way also.  My grahpics card is DirectX9.0.

test it on one of the official maps ... if its a user made map it may be buggy.

....could be  :D

Run a Dxdiag (start/run/dxdiag) cut and paste the first third of a report (use button in lower right od dx report to save as txt file) here on the boards. If this is happening on all maps, it could be an issue of not enough computer to run ALL the graphics, so the game only displays part of the clouds and stuff.

If my guess is correct, you have an onboard video card which is a cheap piece of junk

In my opinion, SiS video is the cheapest of the cheap
See Rule 19- Do not place sausage on pizza.

You cant tie a loop around 400000 lbs of locomotive using a 2 foot rope - Drediock on fat women

SiS onboard chips should NOT be able to play this game. Trust me on that.

If it does, it's a miracle.

SiS onboard video chips are 2D for all intents and purposes.

You need a valid 3D video card, that's the problem.

EDIT: Overall your computer is on the lower edge of "barely playable"... Turn screen resolution down to 800x600, turn texture size down to 128, disable all weapons effects, skins, vehicle effects, turn the detail sliders as far to the "near" part of the slider as possible.

And if that doesn't work, you could put a video card in the system, but it would only run "so well" based on the other specs of the system. It would run, though.
