Did you even bother searching the forums before posting this? If you seriously thought it was that big of deal (which it is) and you had an inkling that it might be happening in the MA, why wouldn't you do a search and see if someone else posted something about this? The stickies are there for a reason, not just you, but a lot of others as well, pay no attention to them, and then does something like this.. not trying to be a dik, just stating the obvious.

And to answer this one.. it's called mass hysteria. If people know about something, all of a sudden, they start seeing it too, and they just know for a fact that what they see is true. We've seen this happen over the last year or so with the warping/cable pulling accusations. Half the dam people who play this game has no clue what this is, or what it looks like, so now every time they see a warp its: "zOMG HE'S PULLING HIS CABLE".

Not to mention the community has nothing to do with what gets done with the game. Proven point would be how the game is turning out, yes we have some say, but HTC does what they see fit. Which is why they tell you to send them the film or accusation rather than coming here..

btw IN

One more thing, this is why you should not be able to access these forums unless you have a valid account, H2H monkeys are starting to invade on those who pays' "ground"

Yep, we're paying for their bandwidth usage and some of them have the audacity to think they're better then those of us who pay.

So people who have never played and want to see what people in this  game talk about won't be able to?

People don't come to these forums brand new. They always play before they come here. And if that's the price to pay to keep you H2H panhandlers out of the forums for those of us who pay, so be it. But for those who do want to check out the forums b4 they play, let'em go to your H2H forums, since they aren't paying yet.

Bad thing is that statement just sounds like I'm just wanting H2H out cuz they don't pay, and thats not it.

Don't bring the H2H crapola here. There is a H2H forum, keep it there cuz honestly, we don't care what happens there. Those of us who have access to the REAL game, know and understand how things work in the game and on the forums. Obviously you guys don't. There's what, 3 different threads about the same thing?

HTC keeps a clean game, and until you actually get an account (besides your measly 2 week trial which isn't long enuff to establish any kind of know how about how the game or the staff works), you won't know that cuz you're stuck in H2H.

NO that would be a terrible idea.

Many old customers keeps in touch with the development and the community via the BBS and like me return after awhile because you have kept in touch.

New players with 14 day accounts prolly also gets help and guidance from the BBS and unless you dont want to make new 14 day account players feel unwelcome then.. you know.

BBS and game must (IMO) be kept separate.

As I posted in the other thread, I may not pay, but I offer help to any NewU who will respond to me.  That makes them more likely to continue playing the game and possibly move on to the main arena.  I also do everything in my power to keep my server (which helps provide advertisement for the actual game) free of the kind of players who make this game unenjoyable for others.  Lastly, I've provided quite a bit of word-of-mouth advertisement for the game; there's almost not a single forum I frequent on which I haven't made detailed explanations of why Aces High II is the best aerial combat simulator on the market, not to mention those I've made to all of my friends.

I also do as good of a job as any paying member at following the rules.  So do many of the other "freeloaders," including respected hosts such as Croduh, 1K3, Merlin, Xena, and Pbdy.  We may not pay, but it's quite wrong to say that we only take and give nothing back.  We take nothing that is not offered, we are grateful for what we have, and we give back as much as we can.  Don't insult us for that.

kinda reminds me of a series of events that took place in the era this game is set.;)

I can see what you'r e saying, but you're overlooking a couple important things.

The biggest issue is what happens when people start talking about cheeeting. Very quickly, guys start seeing hacks every time they get beat by better energy management, or by an overshoot that takes a while to learn. Every internet hiccup becomes a cable pulling incident. Its 99.9% unjustified, and it spoils the environment big time.

Secondly, posting takes attention away from the pathway that WORKS. If you have a film of an event where bad stuff REALLY happened, then HTC can crack the film open and watch what the program is doing. If results are coming in to the server that the program cannot generate, then HT will act like a SWAT team on a caffeine binge...and the offender will disappear forever, without a word being released to the community.

Believe me....I've sent the email myself, and seen the result.
Maturity is knowing that I've been an idiot in the past.
Wisdom is realizing I will be an idiot in the future.
Common sense is trying to not be an idiot right now
