Full arenas??? maybe yes maybe no

Please ---someone tell me why when it says an arena holds 320 people, it holds 330...and when it finally gets to 320 it still says its full. Then I watch it go back up over 325?????????????????

Friends I guess....certainly not fair OR balanced...and really frustrating.

This is from another thread a while back I responed to.

Here is how the arena caps work I think.

LWB - 110/120

LWO 10/70

It starts out by trying to fill one arena like above the Server is focusing people into LWB.

Now when LWB cap fills the server will "Leap Frog" over to LWO like so

LWB - 120/120

LWO - 70/ 170

Now when LWO hits 120 players the arenas will Leap Frog again like so.

LWB 120/220

LWO 120/170

And so on and so forth.

Now what happens when you see a arena like 240/120 is this. This takes place right after the arena has flip flopped so to speak.

If LWO is 240/300 and the cap just went up to 300

If the other arena drops below a certion number of people lets say like 120/300 then the other arena will flip down to that cap so this is were you see the 240/120 in till that caps slowly levels out with the other arena

So it wil show

LWO 240/120

LWB 120 /220

Lol Did that make since?

There are two ways an Arena can get "overcrowded":

The arena limit was just downsized according to dropping overall number of players in both LW arenas or when the arena limiter itself kicks in after being basically disabled during off-peak hours. That results in numbers like 200/120.

(Edit: basically what Husky 01 tried to explain above)

The second way: When an Arena is near its limit. When the population is for example 319/320, everybody going to the loginscreen sees that number. If it happens that 6 different players do that at the same moment, they all see 319/320, and they all are able to enter the arena. Resulting in a 325/320 population.

And there's one more way.  If one arena gets re-set the cap on the other drops quickly to force people back into the re-set arena to re-attain balance.
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.

IMHO just bring back one monsterous MA...
Like the good old days.
(and yes I liked EWA when it first came out the fights were good no Hoing or other dweebery and it was fun, now though it is milking paradise and all dem HOicanes flying straight at ya. So given its digression into mediocracy just kill it out right.)

*disclaimer*
There are exceptions to the above dweebery in the EWA they know whoom they are as we have fought well in the past, so in no way does the above statement cover everyone, just the masses of milk maidens and general practitioners of mass dweebery.
*end disclaimer*

From what I've seen, you can log in in the morning to see 319/320 and be guaranteed a spot when you get home from work.

Thanks to Husky et al for excplaining the math. Not sure I don't need to read it several times to fully comprehend but it is clearer now. Did you ever play 3 card Monty??? If not...you would have been great! LOL

Thanks again and I will fly away in the arena that is not leapfrogged, flippeed over or what have you and die as always.
Really...Thanks for explaining it to me--it seemed "disingenious" and "arbitrary" when I tried for too long to join my squad in the '219/220 arena and I DO appreciate all!

You don't realize how lucky. And no, the story's below even PG-13, I just don't feel like telling it. :D I'm very happy to have her and have been with her around one and a quarter years now.
