I'm curious how you got complex land shapes on something the size of less than 1 tile (the airfield should take up 1 square tile).

How is that possible in the TE?

It requires some work with ac3d and OE ;)
They are not actual land, but objects on water... similar to Karelia terrain coast lines.

So, you're "landing" on water? Very interesting.

Are the submerged beaches (the light blue spots on the water) also part of the object?

IIRC, they are other objects which are not collidable, thus they are like water.
Raptor can tell in more detail which way he put them together.

I really like the appearance of the whole thing, how Raptor has made the textures and all :aok

The same way I made the harbor shape of the cities in Japan. Yes, the land acts like land and the water acts like water.
Blauk helped me make the transitions more smooth and Dux made the lovely palm trees.
