Agreed. I wasn't sure if it would have legs, but the writing seems to be holding up.

for the uninitiated

there are some good productions out there, but HBO is still the ruler of the land of non network series.  IMHO.

i watch john, big love and concords religiously.

showtime has dextur and weeds...also good, but not as.

and then there is the irreplaceable deadwood....C***suckers made a mistake cutting that one out if you ask me.

I've been pleasantly surprised by ESPN's The Bronx is Burning. I've always hated the Yankees, Steinbrenner, Reggie Jackson and New York City in general (Billy Martin I liked). But this is one heck of a miniseries. Oliver Platt is greatness. He deserves an Emmy for this.

JB88 Weeds is a good show...one of the most interesting concepts I've watched in awhile.  A friend had the whole first season and I was instantly hooked.  Is it still any good?

its a good show.  no doubt.

the only drawback for me is the character development...it seems to stay a bit shallower than i like.

preference really.  it's a good show.  great concept.
