HO score counter
« on: August 12, 2007, 06:33:02 PM »
I wish there was a way to record how many of a guy's kills were due to a Head On attack.

I bet the total number of kills gotten that way in this game would astound everyone.

Yep. I bet there is an amazing number of people that don't even even try to dodge a HO, then blame everyone else for their cartoonish death ;)

Rule #1 - Stay out of your enemy's gun arc while
Rule #2 - Put him into your's

When I fail to follow #1, I tend to die a lot. And it's all my fault.

Fun to trick them into thinking you'll Head on them, then they will blast away while you get on their 6.

Great statement, of course it has ZERO bearing on what I requested.

I simply stated that if we knew the number of HO kills in the game we would be astounded, I am of the opinion that the number is well above 50% of the kills but it is only an opinion.

Hehehe, comon, admit it.  You die 10 seconds after you miss the HO dont you?

Whats your ingame ID?  I bet you have something like 0.05 HOs/Hour on the scoring page :rofl

it's also amazing the number of people that cry HO when it wasn't even remotely anything approaching a HO.  "You HO'd me!" has become the standard attempt at soothing an ego that was bruised by being shot down.  Regardless of what kind of shot it was, these certain people always immediately get on 200 and whine about being HO'd.

How in the heck could you define exactly what does and what doesn't count as a "HO"??? First you would have to get a agreeable definition of what a "HO" is in the first place, not to mention the difficulties in trying to determine when one actually happened thanks in part to things like net lag, and the various time/player/perspective issues as well.

Daft idea, sorry.

An interesting question:  Which is worse?
1) The guy who actively participates in HOs, but whines when he loses them (per Lusche).
OR
2) The guy who whines about HOing when there wasn't one (per AKAK).

It seems to me, if you are barreling in guns blazing, you are as "guilty" of the HO as the other guy.

And, if you tried to avoid it, but did so too late giving the opponent a front-quarter shot that he lands, it again is your fault for making your move too late.

Either way, I agree with AKAK that the whining is all about bruised egos.
