hi all.

i was wondering if any of you have any experience with finding and/or using investors to start businesses.

in my case, i am interested in seeking investors who would fund equiptment,
materials and technological backbone for a photography venture that i have been planning for some time now.

i have been in business for myself for awhile, but to this point i have kept it pretty pastoral and in the "pay my bills range".  i am seeking to get beyond that level and into some larger scale projects that can provide an engine for even larger ones.

any thoughts on where and how to begin would be most appreciated.

a discussion of possibilities.

my suggestion is to utilize the equity in your home.  take baby steps and in time you'll be amazed at what you will accomplish if you are careful to plan.

Your best investor is yourself.  If not, try family.  I assume you are looking for relatively small change?

Don't.

You will never have real control playing with others money. Its what is wrong with most big corps. The investors want every penny to sing, and don't give a **** how you do it. This is what got us outsourcing.

Granted you not on the same scale but its the same idea.
