:)

yes i do texasmom.  thank you for asking!

each day i take down yesterdays picture and post a new image.

i take them with a cheap 120 dollar wal-mart bought camera.  (it's a canon, which is it's saving grace...even the bottom tier does alright) i can keep it in my pocket til something pops up.  i am working on gathering resources to make prints of some of them which will eventually be turned into limited edition prints.

some are more personal than others...some are better than others, but i try to produce the best photo that i can once a day.

a few from the archives if you are interested.

my nephew chase
the mexican's dog
bad
broom
 sketchbooks

hope you like them.  :)

Well, I am a very frustrated photographer..... went to Utah to do landscapes...took about 1000 slides...kept about 10 pics....not even that proud of those.    Took three times as many pics as I should have, but I was bracketing the exposures.   Bottom line - I stink.

Anyway - I marvel at the simplicity of your composition.   Outstanding work JB.

I've got albums and albums full from the last 15 years of TxDad & our kids.  Out of all of those pictures, there are maybe 25 that are half-decent ~ and even those are really lacking.  What a shame, and I'm sorry for my kids, who will use those photos to remember their childhood from.

It's definitely a gift (and probably takes practice) to be able to capture a great photo.

thanks talon.   :)

i think that you would be surprized what you would come up with if you scanned those slides to digital and edited them in an image editing program.

slide film takes super vibrant pictures, but until digital processing, it denied a photographer an uncomplicated post processing step where cropping, filtering, exposures, developement times, etc. really allowed an image to come to life.

photoshop is the modern equivelant of the darkroom.

it's definately worth a try.

Lookit here son, I say son, did ya see that hawk after those hens? He scared 'em! That Rhode Island Red turned white. Then blue. Rhode Island. Red, white, and blue. That's a joke, son. A flag waver. You're built too low. The fast ones go over your head. Ya got a hole in your glove. I keep pitchin' 'em and you keep missin' 'em. Ya gotta keep your eye on the ball. Eye. Ball. I almost had a gag, son. Joke, that is.
