Have film if desired. Spitfire loses right wing and entire tail, flies around normally for several minutes. Similar to the goon incident.

Just logged out, shot a P-47 in the wing near the fuselage with the maingun on a Firefly. Sets him on fire, but does no apparent damage. Said plane continues flying around for about 7 minutes, until another maingun hit finally kills him. Will send both films in.

Not always.  I hit a P47 with an Osti in the old tank town and set him on fire.  He never did die.  I saw him fly around dog fighting and then rtb.  I had no film so didn't post.

Yea I have a film of a p51 flying in circles while 20 + friendlies pound into him.  No tail or backhalf of fuselage - no wings, nothing,...just a flying cockpit.

I posted it and got hammered for it, as it was just 'lag' and the pilot was a 'good stick'.....

sigh.

not to mention, (also on film) I just disintegrated a ki84 that I dove on, he continued to fly then all the sudden started bouncing all over the place on our screens afterwards then just disappeared.  Now THAT was probably lag..

The 'admins' have told me via mail there is a bug fyi in regards to my film...you should send yours in to.  Don't post it here they don't like that as it removes trust in the game for hits actually counting.

This happened to me the other night.

As in ... I foolishly went up vertical after a con, with at least 2-3 chasing me and was very surprised to loop over alive and undamaged..

Little did I know that I actually had one of my wing's shot off!!! (At my end ... I took no damage and was 100% intact)

I did not know anything was wrong till one of my squaddies informed me (with much laughter) that i was fully fuctioning spit with only 1 wing ... with the other wing sheared off to the fuslage!!!

What really cracked him up was that I was able to fully manoveur(sp) like any other Spit, and even funnier (to him) was that my missing wing had an invisible cannon/gun!!!

He was seeing bullets appear from mid-air where my wing-guns should have been.

The person that shot my wing off initially responded with:

"Finn ... that was just wrong!!"

To which myself and my squaddie ... now realising what was happeneing ... could not stop laughing at how 'wrong' it was!!!

To me ... I was fully intact ... and had actually killed a con in this state,  this person was quite mortified at first on ch200, but when explained to him that my squaddie and I were as confused as him about it ... we all put it down to a lag-bug, and not something I was doing intentionally.

Oh ... about 2-3mins later ... flying straight and level with no cons about ... my wing fell off ... hahaha ...

[This fault was due to a problem with IP transit from my ISP,  there were several other 'strange' things that occurred that should have tipped me off that I had a 'bad net connection' that night,  but I will not repeat them here, and have forwarded these 'symptoms' to skuzzy so that they can look at this issue incase anyone attempts to intentionally re-create it, which I don't think they could unless they were an admin at an ISP with core-router access ...lol]

Yea I did that twice now, but what I did was use combat trim and I had it set down easy. I have the videos if you want it

Finn, did you happen to record a film of that?  We're very interested in seeing a film from the plane with the damage in this situation.  So much so that we'll offer a reward to the first person who can submit us a film of a legitimate instance of this.  It has to be filmed from the plane with the damage, not somebody else witnessing it.

What's the reward ... hehhe....

Just joking ... would be glad to help ... I did send a detailed email to support@ with some of the symptoms etc ...  very weird.

I am pretty sure that if I use my other 'test' internet account I have .. on a bad day ... that I can re-create this ... will give it a go over the next few days ...

Prob just my luck and their IP transit will be flawless from now on ...!

Sending a film to u guys ... actually two...

1) From my point of view ... no damage ... low lvl passes on a CV grp a couple times ... then on the 3rd pass .. BOOM ... everything all at once falls off at once and i fall out of the sky in flames.

2) From squaddies point of view ... i quickly catch fire ... and fly back forth over the cv ... then die.

From discussions I think this problem has been 'solved'....

I am putting this down to 'the lag effect'.

Not sure if I qualify for the reward ... as I think I still had some intact control surfaces, and wasn't quite a flying cockpit ...lol
